Ngāi Tahu – Cultural Mapping Project

Our People

Biographies

Kā Huru Manu could not occur without the support and trust from Ngāi Tahu whānau who have openly shared their time and knowledge. Our people have worked through mountains of published and unpublished material to analyse, critique, record, and map the traditional Māori place names of Te Waipounamu. Through their hard work, and building on the work of previous generations, our people have created this amazing resource. Read about our people whose leadership and support has led to the Ngāi Tahu Atlas.
